The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Casey pinned against the cage. Casey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Casey looks to land a combination but Vieira avoids it well.
Vieira unleashes a big counter combination but Casey bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Vieira enables Casey to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vieira manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Vieira pushes Casey off and scrambles back to his feet.
Vieira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vieira is working Casey over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Casey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vieira defends well.

Casey misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vieira.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Vieira breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vieira is defended easily by Casey.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vieira gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Vieira clinches up with Casey and pushes him back against the cage.
Vieira has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Casey is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Vieira's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vieira displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Casey throws out the jab.
Casey throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Vieira tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Casey is in Vieira's guard.
Vieira manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnathan Casey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacare Vieira.
Casey lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Casey is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Vieira is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Casey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vieira has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Casey doesn't defend quickly enough and Vieira has managed to lock this one up! Can Casey escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Vieira on a fantastic submission victory.
