Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Martin Hewitt (ranked 8405 p4p, 552 weight class) and Andrey Eremeev (ranked 4654 p4p, 442 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Martin Hewitt! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 3 losses; Andrey Eremeev!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Hewitt tries to sprawl but Eremeev drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The referee asks Eremeev politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Eremeev prefers to stall for the moment though.
Hewitt has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Hewitt is trying to control Eremeev's posture but Eremeev avoids it.
Eremeev is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hewitt's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eremeev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hewitt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Eremeev wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Hewitt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hewitt holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Hewitt tries to buck Eremeev off but Eremeev is having none of it.

Hewitt wants to improve his position but Eremeev is controlling well.

Eremeev is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Eremeev wants to take a breather but Hewitt is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hewitt defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Eremeev.
Eremeev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hewitt is looking to escape.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Eremeev might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hewitt haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Hewitt is trying to control but Eremeev manages to pass to mount!

Eremeev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
It looks like Eremeev might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Hewitt tries to reverse the position but Eremeev maintains control.

Eremeev looking to control but Hewitt is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Eremeev moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hewitt has worked his arm free - good work by Hewitt!

Hewitt is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Eremeev controlling the pace.

Eremeev wants to work for an arm triangle but Hewitt is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
