Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Melankomas Caria (ranked 3212 p4p, 0 weight class) and Judas Priest (ranked 4705 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Priest throws a looping overhand right but Caria ducks down to avoid it.
Priest bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Priest lands a nice forearm strike.
Caria is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Caria has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Priest lands a decent elbow from side control.
Caria tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Priest wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Caria on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
An elbow from Priest crashes against the mat.

Priest throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Priest working the ground and pound but Caria is defending the strikes.
Caria tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Priest has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Priest is looking to take a break and control but Caria is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Priest staying calm.
Priest has hold of Caria's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Caria seems comfortable defending it but Priest has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Caria is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Caria is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Priest couldn't care less - he's delighted!

In his post fight interview, Judas Priest started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
