Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Todd Jonhson (ranked 3469 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jianabule Ahezhuole (ranked 3831 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonhson moves into range and clinches up with Ahezhuole.
Ahezhuole trying to control the position but instead, Jonhson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ahezhuole into the cage.
Jonhson is trying to break the clinch but Ahezhuole has him pressed against the cage.
Jonhson misses with a hook to the ribs.
Jonhson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jonhson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ahezhuole avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ahezhuole can't find room to land a body shot as Jonhson controls the action.

Ahezhuole closes the distance and pushes Jonhson back into the cage.

Ahezhuole is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jonhson is defending well for now.

Jonhson is trying to drag Ahezhuole to the mat but Ahezhuole just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jonhson enables Ahezhuole to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jonhson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jonhson is looking to stand back up but Ahezhuole counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jonhson.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jonhson pushes Ahezhuole off looking to stand but Ahezhuole dives back in and keeps control.

Jonhson manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ahezhuole keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Ahezhuole is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jonhson can't fight it off and eventually Ahezhuole manages to take the fight to the floor. Jonhson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jonhson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ahezhuole stacks Jonhson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ahezhuole!

Well Ahezhuole has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
