Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Jack (ranked 1043 p4p, 146 weight class) and Eusebio Zapata (ranked 6451 p4p, 520 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Jack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eusebio Zapata! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jack shoots in and bounces Zapata off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jack slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jack forces his way into half guard. Jack frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jack landing strikes from the mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack working for a submission but Zapata is keeping him at bay. Zapata tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack content just to control the position here. Jack working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jack's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jack get's back to his feet. Jack fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zapata sprawls well initially but Jack persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jack passes to full mount! Jack stands up from mount. Strange move. Jack fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zapata to the ground. Jack is now in Zapata's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jack advances position into side control! Jack has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Zapata misses with a double jab
and Jack counters with a stiff right hand. An inside leg kick from Jack misses. Jack shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jack seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zapata wants to get back to full guard but Jack has mounted him! Jack swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Billy Jack! Billy Jack decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
