Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinand Marquez (ranked 5137 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Topal (ranked 7551 p4p, 521 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amir Topal!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez circles away from the clinch attempt.

Marquez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Topal can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Marquez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Topal's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marquez wants to pass the guard but Topal is keeping the position.
Topal wants to get back to his feet but Marquez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Marquez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Topal, up you get!
