Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Morris Day (ranked 3879 p4p, 353 weight class) and Alessandro Marrano (ranked 2153 p4p, 219 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morris Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alessandro Marrano! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marrano wants to clinch. Marrano instigates a clinch. Day blocks a body shot from Marrano. Day drops down looking for an ankle pick but Marrano pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marrano wants to clinch and Day counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Day. Day trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Day knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marrano on the ground. Day throwing strikes from guard but Marrano blocks nicely. Marrano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Day gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Marrano has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Power Wrestling Academy . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Day is in close to Marrano's body, working some short punches and elbows. Day is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Day got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marrano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Day has managed to get both his arms back between Marrano's legs - danger averted. Day lands a couple of digs. Day stands up over Marrano, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Day throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marrano works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Day postures up and lands a big shot to Marrano's brow. Marrano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Day can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Marrano throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Day wants to control from the top but Marrano keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Marrano's head. Marrano working for a triangle but Day defends it easily.
Day distracts Marrano with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Day avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Day with a flurry of punches that miss. Day content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Marrano looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Day passes into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marrano has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Day. Oh but Marrano has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Day goes limp - he's gone! Marrano jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
