Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between DeShawn Jackson (ranked 241 p4p, 30 weight class) and Wilson Wills Jr (ranked 547 p4p, 64 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Green Card. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

20 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeShawn Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilson Wills Jr! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wills Jr has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wills Jr there as he acknowledges the shot. A punch combination from Jackson misses. Wills Jr tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range. Jackson is looking to counter punch. Jackson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jackson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wills Jr. Jackson moves out of range of the leg kick from Wills Jr. Jackson takes a swing at Wills Jr's ribcage but misses. Wills Jr throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jackson throws a big shot that misses. Jackson slips under a jab. Wills Jr scoring well with a low kick there.
Jackson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Jackson lands a lovely overhand right. Wills Jr moves out of range as Jackson strikes. Jackson moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromWills Jr. Wills Jr has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wills Jr. Jackson throws a body punch but Wills Jr moves out of range. Wills Jr swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jackson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Wills Jr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wills Jr loads up on a big right hand but Jackson slips the punch. Wills Jr lands a jab to the head.
Jackson throws a hook to the side of Wills Jr's head but Wills Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Wills Jr shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Wills Jr misses with a head kick.
Jackson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A nice inside leg kick there by Wills Jr. That's going to slow Jackson down. Wills Jr moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Wills Jr. Jackson throws a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson jabs at Wills Jr's body. Jackson misses the shot to the body. Jackson lands a glancing blow to the side of Wills Jr's head. Jackson misses with a hook. Wills Jr ducked under it nicely. Jackson moves out of range of the leg kick from Wills Jr. Jackson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Wills Jr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. and Jackson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wills Jr manages to avoid it. Wills Jr misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wills Jr takes a shot right to the bread basket. Jackson getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Jackson checks a leg kick. Jackson appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Jackson throws a body punch but Wills Jr moves out of range. A little jabbing left from Wills Jr on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Nice body punch from Jackson. Jackson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jackson moves out of range of the strikes. Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wills Jr sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jackson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jackson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wills Jr defends it well. Jackson scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jackson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jackson is working for a submission of some sort.
Jackson is looking for a kimura but Wills Jr is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jackson to get the leverage. Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jackson winds up and cracks Wills Jr with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wills Jr looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Wills Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jackson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that DeShawn Jackson will probably get the nod. That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wills Jr dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jackson misses with a straight left. Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And Wills Jr responds with a good body kick, but Jackson manages to step out the way in time. Wills Jr uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jackson. Jackson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Jackson misses with a low kick. Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wills Jr knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wills Jr is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it. Jackson tries for a kimura but Wills Jr is defending well. Jackson working away. Jackson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jackson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wills Jr taking a bit of punishment here - Jackson scoring with strikes. Jackson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wills Jr some visible discomfort.
Wills Jr struggling a bit here. Jackson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Jackson swings around for an armbar but Wills Jr sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jackson's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Wills Jr uses it to pass to side control.
Wills Jr just content to control the position. Jackson struggling a bit here. DeShawn Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wills Jr controlling from side mount. Wills Jr is trying to get an arm triangle but Jackson is defending well.

He's pushing on Wills Jr's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Jackson wants to get back to full guard but Wills Jr has passed into side control. Wills Jr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jackson is looking to regain half guard here but Wills Jr keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jackson gets back to half guard. Jackson gets back to full guard.

It looked like Jackson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Jackson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Wills Jr is just out of range. Wills Jr chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jackson can pounce on him.
Wills Jr thuds his right hand into Jackson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wills Jr. Wills Jr looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wilson Wills Jr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson takes one on the button. Jackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Good work by Wills Jr as he checks the leg kick. Wills Jr dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jackson. That did some damage! Wills Jr gets cracked there but stands up to it.

DeShawn Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Good standup being displayed there by Wills Jr as he connects with a hook. Jackson digs a good hook to Wills Jr's body.

Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Wills Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wills Jr throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jackson wants to control from the top but Wills Jr keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to DeShawn Jackson. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
