Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between haki zavos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, haki zavos! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Larry Shaw! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shaw lands in his opponent's guard. Shaw connects with a couple of short punches. zavos utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. zavos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaw tries to roll over but zavos keeps him under control. Shaw lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Shaw is trying to get back to full guard. zavos is trying to control the action in half guard but Shaw is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw strikes from the bottom but zavos uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Shaw tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but zavos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shaw looking for a takedown here - he's got it. zavos controls Shaw momentarily but Shaw frees himself. zavos is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw wants to control from the top but zavos keeps moving. Shaw wants to pass the guard but zavos is keeping the position. zavos is trying to keep Shaw in close.
zavos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shaw working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Shaw chips away with some ground and pound. Shaw tries to free his leg and advance position but zavos is retaining full guard. zavos is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Shaw must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shaw tries to free his leg and advance position but zavos is retaining full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shaw accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. zavos working a defensive guard here.
zavos is breathing heavily. Shaw looking to pass the guard. Shaw working some strikes from top position. Shaw pushes down on zavos's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Shaw thows a huge punch but zavos dodges it nicely.
Shaw missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Shaw thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing zavos to regain full guard. Shaw throwing strikes from guard but zavos blocks nicely. Shaw lands a couple of elbows. Shaw postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Larry Shaw dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Shaw scores a takedown into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shaw connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
zavos wants to control but Shaw is having none of it. Shaw landing punches. Shaw breaks from zavos's wrist control and lands an elbow. A nice elbow there by Shaw. Shaw misses with some ground and pound and zavos recovers position to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shaw missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Shaw lying in zavos's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. zavos decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Shaw taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
