Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Quin (ranked 2318 p4p, 271 weight class) and Derek Trucks (ranked 1079 p4p, 144 weight class). Quin comes to the cage accompanied by Captain Jack - Iko Iko. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quin takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Quin manages to break the clinch.

Trucks throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Quin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Quin looks to land a combination. Trucks sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Quin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Derek Trucks has been cut.
Trucks jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Quin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Jungle Room in the buildup to the fight.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Trucks lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Quin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Quin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
