Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Wilder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, King Diamond!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wilder cracks a nice hook into Diamond's ribs.
Diamond throws a right hand that Wilder ducks under and follows up with a left that Wilder also avoids with ease.
Diamond lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wilder circles away quickly and effectively.
Diamond throws a combination that misses
and Wilder counters with a right hand to the body.
Wilder has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Salvatore School for the Gifted in the buildup to the fight.
Diamond misses with a few strikes there.

Wilder jabs Diamond to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Diamond with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wilder to score with a decent uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nice straight punches there by Wilder. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wilder.
No joy there for Diamond, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Diamond tries to bum rush Wilder with a series of wild strikes but Wilder uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wilder lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Diamond rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wilder moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wilder slips a jab and a cross from Diamond.

Wilder cracks Diamond with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Diamond will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Diamond looks winded!
Diamond shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wilder eats them both and turns towards Diamond to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Diamond chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wilder can pounce on him.
Diamond has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Diamond there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Wilder counters with a straight right hand.
Wilder fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Wilder scores with a sloppy right hand. Diamond should have avoided that one.
Diamond fails to land with a series of punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diamond has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wilder.
Diamond throws a right hand that Wilder ducks under and follows up with a left that Wilder also avoids with ease.
Wilder lands a jab.
Wilder catches Diamond with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Diamond fails to land with a series of punches.
As Diamond looks to move away, Wilder throws a big counter combo but Diamond just gets out of the way.
Wilder works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A combination from Diamond does no damage.
Wilder fires out a quick counter leg kick but Diamond just manages to avoid it.
Wilder goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like King Diamond has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diamond walks into a jab.
Diamond misses with a two punch combination.
Wilder paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Wilder scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Diamond tries to move into range but Wilder moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Wilder dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wilder connects with a combination that backs up Diamond into the ropes. Wilder lands a flurry of punches that gets past Diamond's guard. Diamond is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Wilder bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
