Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Immamali Osman Durnagoz (ranked 2931 p4p, 318 weight class) and John Brown (ranked 2572 p4p, 288 weight class). Brown has chosen Born Of A Broken Man as his entrance music. John Brown is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Immamali Osman Durnagoz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 35 - 3, fighting out of Hilo, John Brown! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Brown there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Brown circles away from the clinch attempt and Brown connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Durnagoz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brown counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Durnagoz! Durnagoz takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Brown landing strikes. Brown has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Durnagoz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Brown connects with a decent elbow. Durnagoz is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Brown in side control lands a decent elbow. Brown is chipping away with strikes.

Durnagoz is trying to control Brown's posture but Brown avoids it. Durnagoz is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Durnagoz is breathing heavily. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Brown scores with punches from side control. Brown cracks Durnagoz with a big elbow. Durnagoz takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Brown working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Brown lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Durnagoz is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Brown is staying tight to Durnagoz's torso, preventing him from escaping. Durnagoz takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Durnagoz is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brown scores with a couple of nice shots. Nice strikes from Brown there. Still in half guard, Brown seems content to control. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Durnagoz's temple. Nice strikes from Brown there. Brown controlling the action here. Durnagoz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Brown dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Durnagoz shoots in but no luck this time. Despite the aggression on Brown's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Durnagoz has his takedown stuffed and Brown counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Brown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Durnagoz to the mat! Durnagoz manages to get full guard. Brown controlling from the top position. Brown landing with the ground and pound. Brown lands a couple of digs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Brown passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Durnagoz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
