Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Herta (ranked 5162 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riggybongo Di Castillo (ranked 4255 p4p, 0 weight class). Riggybongo Di Castillo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Riggybongo Di Castillo!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Di Castillo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Di Castillo drives through and clinches with Herta against the cage.

Herta is trying to drag Di Castillo to the mat but Di Castillo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Herta thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Di Castillo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Herta's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Di Castillo wants to stand but Herta has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Di Castillo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Herta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Herta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Di Castillo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Herta wants to improve his position but Di Castillo is controlling well.

Herta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Herta wants a takedown but no success here.
Herta has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Di Castillo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Riggybongo Di Castillo seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Herta has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Di Castillo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Di Castillo unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Herta! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Di Castillo is unloading with more strikes now! Herta drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
