Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Barbosa (ranked 3713 p4p, 417 weight class) and Alvaro Ortaga (ranked 2046 p4p, 256 weight class). Ortaga has chosen Mexican Rap as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Daniel Barbosa has been cut.
Ortaga misses with a wild body shot.
Ortaga has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Barbosa is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Barbosa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barbosa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ortaga is pushing Barbosa's head away, looking to escape. Barbosa manages to hold on to the position though.

Barbosa is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ortaga's shoulder. That is not cool.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Barbosa is trying to pull guard but Ortaga turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Barbosa is trying to drag Ortaga to the mat but Ortaga just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Barbosa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ortaga's waist but Ortaga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barbosa off to one side.

Barbosa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ortaga sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ortaga unleashes a big counter combination but Barbosa bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Barbosa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ortaga quickly recovers to half guard.

A punch lands to the side of Ortaga 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Barbosa shoots in looking for a takedown. Ortaga tries to sprawl out of it but Barbosa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ortaga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ortaga walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Barbosa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ortaga.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
The crowd cheers as Barbosa lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ortaga doesn't seem phased though.

It looked like Barbosa was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ortaga.
Barbosa lands a really nice looking cross but Ortaga seems unphased.

Barbosa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ortaga has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
