Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert McKenna (ranked 2116 p4p, 278 weight class) and Rui Rodrigo Germano (ranked 2911 p4p, 352 weight class). McKenna kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Freedom. Germano has chosen HIM - Don't Fear The Reaper as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert McKenna! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rui Rodrigo Germano! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Germano does no damage. McKenna wants to clinch. McKenna has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. McKenna shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Germano pinned against the cage. Germano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A telegraphed right hand from Germano misses the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Germano throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McKenna counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. McKenna advances position into side control! Germano gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKenna landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. McKenna scoring with strikes to the body and head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McKenna prevents Germano from improving his position. McKenna is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Germano misses with an uppercut. McKenna saw that one coming. Germano keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. McKenna closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Germano's guard. Germano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McKenna can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Germano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McKenna gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Germano thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Germano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McKenna can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Germano is looking to reverse the position. McKenna scoring with punches from side control. McKenna in side control, just content to control the action for now. Germano prevents McKenna from improving position. Germano manages to work his way to half guard, despite McKenna's best efforts.

Is there anything that Germano can do to turn this around? Germano actively working from the bottom here. Germano moves into full guard.

McKenna trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Germano looking for subs off his back but McKenna has passed one foot through into half guard.

Robert McKenna overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McKenna will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Germano is looking for a sweep. McKenna is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Germano tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. McKenna trying to pass the guard but Germano defending well. And that's the end of the fight! Robert McKenna showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McKenna, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
