Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Koala Baertum (ranked 2962 p4p, 301 weight class) and Enzo Salvatore (ranked 1544 p4p, 172 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Baertum might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome to the Jungle. Salvatore comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Reich mir die Hand kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Enzo Salvatore!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baertum lands a slapping body shot.
Salvatore misses with a right hand
and Baertum counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Salvatore.
Baertum misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Salvatore.

Salvatore drives through with a takedown into Baertum's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Salvatore has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Salvatore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baertum doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baertum manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Salvatore has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Baertum is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Salvatore.

We've been hearing good reports from Baertum's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Baertum's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Salvatore connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Baertum scrambles back to his feet.

Baertum lands a brutal uppercut that launches Salvatore off his feet! Salvatore tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
