Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Franc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ted Nasker! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franc shoots in but Nasker avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nasker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Franc looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Franc looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Franc misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Franc misses with a takedown attempt and Nasker counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Franc. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nasker connects with a nice short shot to Franc's temple. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nasker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Nasker is taking a breather. Franc says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Nasker lands with a punch from half guard. Nasker moves into full mount! Franc won't be happy about that!
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasker scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Franc?
Nasker lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Nasker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nasker lands a heavy elbow. Nasker unloading with bombs!
Franc is rocked! Nasker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Oh Franc is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Franc is bucking up trying to escape but Nasker cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Nasker unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Franc wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Nasker celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ted Nasker! In his post fight interview, Ted Nasker gave a big smile as he said 'I dry humped you like the dog you are.'.
