Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Black (ranked 913 p4p, 38 weight class) and Brandon Hale (ranked 2183 p4p, 102 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by Manu Chao - Mr. Bobby. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Black! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
46 - 24 - 2, fighting out of London, Brandon Hale! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black jabs Hale to the body, keeping him at a distance. The fighters circle momentarily. Black darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Hale shoots in for a double leg but Black sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jab from Black. Hale has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Hale throws a jab when Black was well out of range. Hale takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Black lands a slapping body shot.
Black throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hale stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Black avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hale gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Black connects with the punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Black shoots for a takedown but Hale saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Black with a hook. Matt Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hale pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Black is looking to clinch. Black has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Official UFC Performance Institute Training Center in the buildup to the fight. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Black checks a leg kick. Hale falls off balance throwing a combination
and Black cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hale misses with a looping right. Hale swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hale throws a head kick that misses. Hale takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hale walks into a jab. Black dodges the punch combination from Hale.
Hale takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hale connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Matt Black has been cut. Black scores with a jab to the jaw. Black lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Black wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hale takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Black shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hale sprawls well. Hale wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Black gets slowly back to his feet. Hale avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Black swings for the body but Hale moves out of range.
Hale will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hale takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Black avoids the head kick by Hale.
It looked like Black was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hale. Black listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Black swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hale. A decent looking cross lands there for Black. Hale connects with a leg kick. Black looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Black takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Black throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hale on the side of the head. Black is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Black. Hale throws a right hand that Black ducks under and follows up with a left that Black also avoids with ease. An inside leg kick lands from Hale. A jab from Black does it's job there. Black throws the left hand but Hale avoids the punch easily. Black connects with a body shot that sends Hale's belly button to the back. Black scores with a nice right hand.
Hale fails to land with a series of punches.
Black tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hale manages to circle out of the way. Hale throws an off balance right hand
and Black counters with a lovely straight right hand! Black darts in and clinches Hale up against the cage. Black struggles to land a body shot inside as Hale controls his hands.
Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Black moves into the clinch. Black breaks the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Black lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hale doesn't seem phased though. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Black checks a leg kick. Hale tries to clinch up but Black circles away and keeps his distance. Black connects with a jab. Black takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Black connects with a body shot that sends Hale's belly button to the back. Black is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Black closes the distance and pushes Hale back into the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Black. Hale breaks from the clinch.
Black throws a combination. Hale tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Black misses with a few strikes there.
Hale lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Black is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hale's half guard. Black prevents Hale from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Black dominated that round. The cut man is working on Matt Black's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hale throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A little feinted left hand from Black on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Hale rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hale takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hale throws a head kick that misses and Black counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Black moves out of range of the strikes. Hale throws a jab but it's blocked by Black. Black lands a really nice looking cross but Hale seems unphased.
Hale stuns Black with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Black dodges the punch combination from Hale.
Black is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hale can do to turn this around? Black bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hale's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Black throws a body shot but no joy. Black keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Black scores with a shot to the body.
Hale misses with a series of wild punches.
Hale is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black with a jab. Black works Hale's body with a nice hook. Hale has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Black uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Black connects with a body shot. Black lands a lovely overhand right. Black changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Black fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Hale throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Black counters with a left to the body. Black with a body punch. A glancing blow. Black works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Black connects with the punch. Black forces Hale back against the cage and clinches. Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brandon Hale is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hale takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Black lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Black looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hale! Black is trying to get an arm triangle but Hale is defending well. Hale is pushing Black's head away, looking to escape. Black manages to hold on to the position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Black wants to control but Hale is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Black has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Black will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hale is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Black controls the position. Black wants to control but Hale is keeping him busy. Black is trying to get an arm triangle but Hale is defending well. Black working the strikes but Hale uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Black content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hale tries to kick Black off but Black keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Black takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Black lands a nice short elbow. Black works his way into side control. Black is putting a hurting on Hale here, landing some big shots from side control. Check out the look on Black's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Black is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hale has escaped the position, nice work there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Black dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Matt Black's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Black swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Black connects with a body shot. Hale clinches up with Black and pushes him back against the cage. Hale breaks the clinch.
Hale ducks right into an uppercut from Black. A big left from Hale misses. Hale tries to move into range but Black moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Black lands a nice hook to Hale's body. Hale takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Nice uppercut lands for Black. That snapped Hale's head back.
Black fails in his attempt to clinch. Hale drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Black cracks Hale with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hale takes one to the side of the head.
Hale fails with a takedown attempt. Hale takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Black. Hale takes one to the chin there. A looping hook to the body misses from Black. Hale does a little dance to reset his feet. Hale takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Black scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Black's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hale under the eye. Black lands a nice hook to Hale's body. Hale takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Matt Black is winning the standup battle so far. Hale takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Black tests Hale's chin there with a solid looking shot. Black getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Black lands a nice shot that snaps Hale's head back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hale tries a head kick but it misses.
Hale walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hale is rocked! Black forces Hale back against the cage and clinches. Black taking a breather. Black breaks the clinch.
Brandon Hale has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hale misses with a double jab.
Black thuds his right hand into Hale's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Black shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Black stalling. Black passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hale!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hale is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Matt Black is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Black content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Black's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Hale trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Black showed his dominance in that final round. Well Black has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
