Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Billeray (ranked 5830 p4p, 485 weight class) and Mikhail Kuznetsov (ranked 2728 p4p, 305 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mikhail Kuznetsov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuznetsov lands a slapping body shot.
A big left from Kuznetsov misses.
Kuznetsov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kuznetsov cracks a nice hook into Billeray's ribs.
Kuznetsov connects with a body shot.
Kuznetsov's corner calls for a 1-2. Kuznetsov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Billeray goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kuznetsov prevents it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mikhail Kuznetsov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kuznetsov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Billeray has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kuznetsov has managed to get both his arms back between Billeray's legs - danger averted.

Well Kuznetsov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
