Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between KarateO Masuta (ranked 5119 p4p, 509 weight class) and Ruston Cohle (ranked 22804 p4p, 635 weight class). Masuta comes to the cage accompanied by We Can Dance . Cohle is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Raining Blood. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cohle misses with a takedown
and Masuta counters with a nice uppercut.
Cohle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Masuta thinks about countering with a head kick.
Cohle shoots in for a takedown but Masuta shows good takedown defense.
Cohle shoots for a double leg takedown but Masuta sprawls well. He's pushed Cohle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
KarateO Masuta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruston Cohle.

letting Masuta counter with a right hand.
Cohle dives in for a single leg takedown but Masuta sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cohle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Masuta paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Masuta counters with a series of strikes. Cohle will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Masuta counters with a huge right that knocks Cohle out cold! Masuta is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
