Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elijah David (ranked 3704 p4p, 381 weight class) and Demetrius Tektas (ranked 2501 p4p, 279 weight class). Tektas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alexander The Great kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah David! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Demetrius Tektas! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David closes the distance and lands a one-two. David tries a head kick but it misses.
Tektas drops down looking to force a counter takedown but David defends it well. Nice shot lands for Tektas. David misses with a looping right. David tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tektas was well out of range. Poor timing from David. Tektas is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tektas has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. David walks into a jab. David looks to score with a jab to the body but Tektas is just out of range. And Tektas tries to counter it with a takedown but David pushes his down on his head and steps out. Tektas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from David.
David takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
David drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. David scores with a decent looking elbow strike. David landing some decent shots from guard. David throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. David is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. David distracts Tektas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Tektas pulls David in close to prevent any damage. Tektas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. David with a flurry of punches that miss. David postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. David has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Tektas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tektas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from David. Tektas wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. David trying to control the position from guard on top but Tektas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. David postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. David is working Tektas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. David throwing strikes but missing. David might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. David throws an elbow that misses. Tektas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in David's guard. Nice move by Tektas! Tektas working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. David utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tektas throwing strikes from guard but David blocks nicely. David tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah David dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Tektas enables David to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tektas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Elijah David overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tektas looking to control.
Tektas is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. David lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. David throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tektas has momentary wrist control but David slips an elbow through the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tektas wants to sweep but no luck. David showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. David preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. David working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. David postures up in Tektas's guard and throws a big left but Tektas blocks it. Tektas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in David's guard. Tektas throws a big elbow that misses. David looking to sweep here. No luck so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now David is on top in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as David accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tektas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. David postures up.

Tektas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. David chips away with some ground and pound. Tektas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tektas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. David manages to get himself to full guard.
David wants to sweep here but Tektas controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah David dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Tektas changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Tektas slips a jab and a cross from David.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from David. David takes one on the chin but seems OK.

David stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Tektas has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! David manages to get his head free but now Tektas has transitioned to an armbar! David grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Tektas! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
