Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vince Neil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Ray Badass!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neil swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Badass changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Badass throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Neil tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Badass is in Neil's guard.
Badass won't allow Neil to get back to his feet.
Neil is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Neil looking for a sweep. Not yet Neil, not yet.

Neil wants to stand but Badass is controlling the position.
Neil is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neil is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Badass is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
We've been told by Neil's head coaches at Mello MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Neil leaves Badass with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Badass shoots in for a takedown but Neil shows good takedown defense.
Neil lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Badass takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Neil connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Neil throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Badass's head.

Badass closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Neil to the mat! Neil manages to get full guard.
Badass prevents Neil from getting back to his feet.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Neil holds on and takes a little breather.
Badass passes into half guard.
Neil wants to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Badass is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Neil is just riding it out for now. Badass eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Badass is keen to just control but Neil is a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Badass misses with a takedown
and Neil counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Neil! Badass is out on his feet! Neil rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Badass is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Badass is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vince Neil!
During a confident post fight interview, Vince Neil thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
