The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phouthong swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Phouthong looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Phouthong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moraes pinned against the cage. Moraes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Moraes tries to pass to full mount but Phouthong defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moraes is trying to trip Phouthong. He has hold of a leg but Phouthong is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Moraes persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
