Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinand Marquez (ranked 3384 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kwon Woo Lee (ranked 3052 p4p, 0 weight class). Kwon Woo Lee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ferdinand Marquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kwon Woo Lee!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lee defends well and Marquez ends up having to push Lee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Marquez has a takedown stuffed.
Marquez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Marquez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lee counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ferdinand Marquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marquez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Marquez tries to keep at a distance but Lee has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lee wants to take the fight to the mat but Marquez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Lee has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Marquez after a bit of a struggle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marquez is aware though and is defending well.

Marquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Marquez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Marquez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Marquez stands up from Lee's guard - Marquez perhaps looking for a knockout.
Marquez fails with the takedown.
Marquez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ferdinand Marquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marquez scores with a jab to the body.
Marquez throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily.
Lee steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Marquez.
Marquez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Lee shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from Marquez. No joy for Lee on that attempt.
Marquez swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Marquez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lee to the mat! Lee manages to get full guard.

Marquez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lee wants to get back to his feet but Marquez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Lee trying to keep a closed guard but Marquez is proving a slippery customer.
Marquez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Marquez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lee for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marquez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Marquez is defended easily by Lee.
Lee tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Marquez throws a head kick that misses.
Lee only half commits to the counter leg kick.
No luck for Marquez with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ferdinand Marquez will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marquez avoids it really well and circles away.

Marquez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Marquez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.
Lee appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Marquez tries to clinch there but Lee circles away.

Lee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marquez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Marquez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lee but Lee pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lee is trying to counter with his kicks.

Ferdinand Marquez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lee displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marquez sprawls well. Marquez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marquez drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Marquez off! Marquez jumps back into Lee's guard.

Kwon Woo Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marquez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat.

Marquez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lee sprawls well initially but Marquez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lee tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Marquez manages to move to mount!

Marquez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Lee is squirming around, avoiding Marquez's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lee tries to hold on but Marquez postures up.
Marquez working the ground and pound effectively.
Lee is trying desperately to improve position.
Marquez looking to control and managing it successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
