Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steven Stark (ranked 5350 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Banner (ranked 5650 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stark might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Can't Be Touched. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stark tries to bum rush Banner with a series of wild strikes but Banner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stark lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Banner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Banner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Banner feints and then cracks Stark's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stark down.

Stark throws a nice looking combination but Banner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Banner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stark sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Banner somewhat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stark enables Banner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stark manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Stark is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Banner presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Stark is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Banner dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Banner lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stark down.
