Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marky Mark (ranked 66 p4p, 10 weight class) and Tank Ispa (ranked 223 p4p, 29 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marky Mark! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Tank Ispa! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mark displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ispa throws out the jab. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mark swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Mark counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mark misses the jab. Ispa clinches up with Mark and pushes him back against the cage. Ispa tries to work over Mark's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ispa lands with a short shot to the head.
It looks like Marky Mark has been cut. Mark lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ispa backwards. Ispa keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mark's efforts to push away. Mark is looking to break free of the clinch but Ispa has double underhooks. Mark really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A head punch on the inside from Mark fails to land. Ispa swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Mark. Mark escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've been told by Mark's head coaches at Gangsterdamage that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Ispa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ispa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mark is pressing down on Ispa's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ispa drops back looking for a leg! Mark is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mark manages to kick Ispa off! Ispa jumps back into Mark's guard. Ispa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ispa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mark controls Ispa momentarily but Ispa frees himself. Mark keeping moving, preventing Ispa from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ispa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mark is keeping the position for now. Mark pulls Ispa in close to prevent any damage. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ispa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mark scores with a punch to the head. Ispa throws a jab when Mark was well out of range. Ispa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mark has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A solid leg kick lands there for Mark.
Ispa tries to clinch but Mark moves away and Mark connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ispa throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mark sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ispa slips a jab from Mark. Mark lands with a shot to the body. Ispa walks into a straight right hand from Mark. Mark uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ispa.

Mark ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ispa misses with a hook. Mark ducked under it nicely. Mark looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ispa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Ispa connects with a leg kick. Mark looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Ispa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mark was well out of range. Poor timing from Ispa. Ispa throws a nice outside leg kick. Mark swings for the body but Ispa moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Ispa blocks the low kick. Ispa is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Ispa with a lazy takedown attempt and Mark counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ispa takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ispa tries to land a front kick but Mark steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Mark circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marky Mark will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Marky Mark's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Ispa throws a lazy body kick letting Mark counter with a right hand. Ispa scores with a nice head shot. Ispa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mark.
Ispa was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Ispa misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Ispa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ispa wants to clinch. It looked like Mark wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Mark lands with an overhand left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mark uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ispa. Ispa dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mark. That did some damage! Ispa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ispa moves away. Mark throws a chopping leg kick but Ispa manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Mark throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ispa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Mark lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Mark pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mark is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Mark throws a leg kick but Ispa sees it coming and moves out of range. Ispa walks into a straight right hand from Mark. Mark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ispa appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Mark throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ispa. Mark tests Ispa's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mark misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mark avoids a lazy jab quite easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Mark moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ispa throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Mark scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Ispa misses with a hook. Ispa checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Mark tries to bum rush Ispa with a series of wild strikes but Ispa uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mark throws a leg kick that is checked and Ispa counters with a stiff right hand. Mark is looking to chop away at Ispa's legs. Mark misses the jab. Mark is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Ispa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ispa dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mark. That did some damage! Mark pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ispa is out of range and Mark settles back down. Ispa feints and as Mark raises his hands in defense, Ispa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ispa looking to pass the guard. Ispa passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ispa trying to control the action but Mark is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ispa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mark can't do much from the bottom here. Ispa goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mark rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ispa's guard! Nice work there by Mark! Ispa can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mark controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ispa is looking to cinch up a triangle. Mark throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ispa's body to avoid the submission. Ispa has instead reached around Mark's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ispa arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tank Ispa! Tank Ispa is the new light heavyweight champion! During a confident post fight interview, Tank Ispa thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
