Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Red Jackson!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Watts sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Watts attempts a counter takedown but Jackson avoids it well and moves away.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
As Jackson looks to move away, Watts throws a big counter combo but Jackson just gets out of the way.
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Watts takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Kennith Watts has been cut.

Watts fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Watts persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jackson is trying to escape back to his feet but Watts uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Watts is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Watts tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Watts has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jackson is looking for a sweep.

Jackson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jackson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Watts is controlling him well.

Watts is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jackson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Watts looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jackson is trying to strike from the bottom but Watts has passed into full mount.

Jackson is just holding on here. Watts manages to take his back.

Watts is persistently looking for the submission but Jackson is defending it well.
Jackson wants to control his opponent's hands but Watts gets his hands free.

Jackson tries to break free.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Jackson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Watts's guard. Nice work there by Jackson.

Jackson gets to his feet - Watts follows without any prompting.
Jackson tries to clinch but Watts is having none of it.
Watts tries to land a leg kick but Jackson saw it coming and moves away.

and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand.

Jackson lands a big head kick that sends Watts tumbling to the mat! Jackson takes a step backwards and waves Watts back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Watts is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jackson scores with a leg kick.
Oh Watts is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jackson has a takedown stuffed.
Kennith Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Jackson.
Jackson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Watts manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Watts went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jackson looks winded!

Jackson shoots in and drives through. Watts sprawls well.
Watts wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Watts keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Red Jackson will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A jab from Jackson misses.
Watts seems to have got his legs back now.
Jackson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Watts holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Watts has had enough of the clinch but Jackson keeps him there for the moment.

Jackson gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Watts tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watts regains full guard. Nicely done.
Jackson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Watts thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Watts working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Watts throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jackson escapes and throws Watts's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Watts is not content to let Jackson control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Watts prevents Jackson from improving position.

Jackson stands up.
Jackson darts in looking for a takedown but Watts gets double underhooks and turns Jackson into the cage.
No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt.
Kennith Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Jackson.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jackson wants to stand but Watts has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Watts has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though.

Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Watts looking for a sweep. Not yet Watts, not yet.
Watts is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Watts is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Watts is very close to passing his half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kennith Watts will probably get the nod.

Watts tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt.
Watts tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A combination from Jackson does no damage.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watts wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Jackson has his takedown stuffed

and Watts counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Jackson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Watts smiles and moves away.
Kennith Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Jackson.
Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Watts sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Watts swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Watts circles away and keeps his distance.

Watts drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jackson is wriggling around but Watts manages to pass to half guard.


Watts is looking for a kimura but Jackson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Watts to get the leverage.

Watts takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Watts is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Watts eventually gives up the hold.
Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Watts is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Watts takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Jackson is pressing down on Watts's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Watts controlling from the top position.
Watts chips away with some ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Watts trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watts slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Watts has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Watts's guard.


And that's the end of the fight!
Kennith Watts showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Watts has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
