Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 25 - 0, fighting out of London, Raheem Nazir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perdue Willshire!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nazir takes a jab right on the kisser.
Willshire takes a swing at Nazir's ribcage but misses.
Nazir clinches.
Nazir pulls Willshire into guard.
Nazir looking for a guillotine here but Willshire defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Willshire's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Nazir looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Willshire missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Willshire with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Nazir keeping moving, preventing Willshire from controlling successfully.
Willshire is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Nazir has his foot on Willshire's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Willshire works his way back into a safe position though.
Willshire stands and throws Nazir's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nazir is looking for a sweep.
Willshire wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nazir keeps working.
Nazir is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Willshire creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Nazir sneaks back into half guard.
Nazir regains full guard. Nicely done.
Nazir pulls Willshire in close to prevent any damage.
Willshire loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Nazir wants to sweep here but Willshire controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Willshire gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nazir to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Willshire has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Nazir has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Willshire stalling.
Nazir jumps guard.

Willshire is working Nazir over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Willshire is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Willshire works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Nazir is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Willshire pulls his head out easily.

Nazir is refusing to be controlled, as Willshire sits in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Perdue Willshire will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nazir moves forwards but Willshire connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Nazir wants to clinch.
Nazir throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Willshire tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nazir is in Willshire's guard.
Nazir is looking to work some ground and pound but Willshire has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nazir postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Nazir prevents Willshire from getting back to his feet.

Willshire is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Nazir postures up and lands a big shot to Willshire's brow.
Willshire wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Nazir manages to pass to side control.
Raheem Nazir overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Willshire is trying to stand.
Nazir working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Willshire's thigh. Willshire counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Nazir postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nazir will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nazir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Willshire wants to stand and escape but Nazir is having none of it.
Willshire is trying to control the position but Nazir postures up.
Nazir lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Willshire wants to stand up but Nazir is controlling him.
Nazir postures up and lands a big shot to Willshire's brow.
Nazir trying to control the position from guard on top but Willshire is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nazir postures up in Willshire's guard and throws a big left but Willshire blocks it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Nazir lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Willshire is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nazir scores with a couple of nice shots.
Nazir is trying for a kimura here. Willshire looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nazir wins by kimura!
