Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Beane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kurt Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beane throws a series of strikes that have Meyer backpedaling.
It looks like Kurt Meyer has been cut.
Beane misses with a double jab.
Beane connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beane stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That has opened up Kurt Meyer's cut even more.
The fight stays on the outside here - Meyer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Meyer scores with a hook to the body. Beane takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Beane circles away from the clinch attempt.
Meyer tries to clinch there but Beane circles away.
Meyer falls off balance throwing a combination
and Beane counters with a straight right hand.
Beane jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
The cut above Kurt Meyer's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Beane keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Meyer.
Meyer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beane.
Meyer looks to clinch
and Beane counters with a nice body shot.
Meyer looks gassed!
Meyer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Beane.
A left lands for Beane.
Kurt Meyer's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kurt Meyer's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
