Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Rutten (ranked 2930 p4p, 351 weight class) and Tom Chandler (ranked 3451 p4p, 396 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler throws a right hand that Rutten ducks under and follows up with a left that Rutten also avoids with ease.
Rutten misses with the combination.
Nice takedown defense from Chandler. No joy for Rutten on that attempt.
Chandler looks to land a left hand but Rutten moved out of range nicely.
Rutten closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chandler circles away.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rutten bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Chandler tries to hold on but Rutten pushes him away.

Chandler looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rutten has picked Chandler up and slammed him! Chandler can't keep hold of the triangle and Rutten manages to pass to side control!

Rutten is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chandler has escaped the position, nice work there.

Chandler takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Chandler felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rutten connects with a nice short shot to Chandler's temple.

Rutten tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chandler defends well and Rutten ends up having to push Chandler into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Chandler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rutten as he jumps to the side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rutten is defended easily by Chandler.
Chandler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rutten.
Rutten manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Chandler on his heels. He'll look to pass Chandler's guard now, I'm sure.

Chandler might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rutten haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
