Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ashley Cutts (ranked 5290 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quim Pinto (ranked 24946 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinto has chosen Ser Benfiquista as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Quim Pinto!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cutts shoots for a takedown but Pinto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cutts shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pinto pinned against the cage. Pinto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pinto checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Cutts throws a head kick that misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cutts rushes Pinto and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cutts is trying to pull guard but Pinto has him pressed against the cage.

Cutts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cutts shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pinto defends it nicely.
Pinto was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Cutts tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pinto paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pinto appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Cutts throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pinto's waist but Pinto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cutts off to one side.
Good exchange - Pinto coming out on top.
Cutts dives in and grabs Pinto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pinto pushes down on Cutts's head and hops out.
Cutts backing away here, and Pinto unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Pinto throws a right hand that Cutts ducks under and follows up with a left that Cutts also avoids with ease.
Cutts tries to close the distance and clinch but Pinto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pinto! But no joy.

Cutts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pinto.
Pinto looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Cutts scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Quim Pinto has been cut.

Cutts looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cutts looks for a takedown but Pinto sprawls well.
And Pinto tries to counter it with a takedown but Cutts pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Pinto lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pinto.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pinto looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Pinto catches Cutts with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Cutts closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cutts keeps control of Pinto as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cutts tries to pull guard but Pinto holds him up against the cage and eventually Cutts drops back down to his feet.

Pinto wants to stand and escape but Cutts is having none of it.

Cutts is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Cutts landing some decent shots from guard.
Cutts is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Cutts gets to his feet - Pinto follows without any prompting.
Cutts with a poor takedown
and Pinto counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Cutts stands up and waves to Pinto to follow him.

Pinto is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cutts is defending well for now.

Cutts shoots in looking for a takedown. Pinto tries to sprawl out of it but Cutts keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pinto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pinto has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Cutts is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Cutts ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cutts no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Pinto wants to get up but he can't break Cutts's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cutts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pinto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ashley Cutts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Cutts has momentary wrist control but Pinto slips an elbow through the middle.
Cutts wants to improve his position but instead Pinto has moved into half guard.

Pinto stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Quim Pinto will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Cutts fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Cutts has a closed guard, preventing Pinto from standing up.
Cutts doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Pinto gets to his feet. Cutts looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Cutts turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Pinto bucks up and tries to throw Cutts off but instead Cutts has got his back!

Cutts has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pinto has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cutts is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Pinto defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Pinto is trying to shake Cutts off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Cutts won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

Cutts changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pinto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cutts is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pinto has escaped the position, nice work there.

Cutts decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pinto to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cutts dives in and scores a takedown into Pinto's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ashley Cutts showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Pinto has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
