Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JoJo Diaz (ranked 2040 p4p, 210 weight class) and Lewis Burwell Puller (ranked 2928 p4p, 285 weight class). JoJo Diaz has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, JoJo Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Burwell Puller! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puller on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Diaz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Puller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diaz. Puller takes a swing at Diaz's ribcage but misses. Diaz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Puller. That did some damage! A head kick misses from Diaz. Diaz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Puller connects with a body shot that sends Diaz's belly button to the back. Puller has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Puller ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Puller appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Puller tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Diaz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Diaz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Diaz avoids the body shot from Puller.
Puller throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range. Puller misses with a double jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Puller slips a straight right by Diaz. Diaz bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Diaz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Puller looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range. Diaz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Puller is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Diaz rather than just go for the knockout. Puller throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Diaz on the side of the head. Puller throws a poor cross that misses
and Diaz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Puller's knee momentarily. Diaz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Diaz misses the jab. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Puller! But no joy. Diaz ducks right into an uppercut from Puller. Diaz scores with a jab to the body. Diaz slips under a jab. Diaz misses with a hook. Puller tries to counter by closing the distance. Puller works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Puller walks into a straight right hand from Diaz. Diaz throws a nice head kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Puller throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range. Diaz looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Puller throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Diaz ducks under a wild hook from Puller. Diaz misses with a few strikes there.
Puller throws a big shot that misses. Diaz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Puller.
Diaz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Puller uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Diaz is rocked! Nice defenses there by Puller. Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Diaz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Puller stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. and Puller counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Diaz! He's just covering up as Puller starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lewis Burwell Puller! Lewis Burwell Puller decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
