Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ren Askcrew (ranked 1513 p4p, 197 weight class) and Nicholas Petrone (ranked 1811 p4p, 232 weight class). Ren Askcrew is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrone shoots in and gets a takedown into Askcrew's guard.

Petrone's coach down at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Petrone's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Askcrew dives in and grabs Petrone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Petrone pushes down on Askcrew's head and hops out.
Askcrew shoots in and drives through. Petrone sprawls well.

Petrone dives in for a single leg takedown but Askcrew sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nicholas Petrone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Askcrew shoots in but Petrone avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Petrone drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Askcrew defends it well.

Petrone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Askcrew swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Askcrew has his foot on Petrone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petrone works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Ren Askcrew will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Askcrew tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Petrone swivels and escapes.
Askcrew rushes Petrone and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Askcrew has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Petrone regains guard immediately.
