The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norton dives in and grabs Schmidt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Schmidt pushes down on Norton's head and hops out.
Schmidt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Norton has hold of Schmidt's hands but Schmidt slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Schmidt wants to take a breather but Norton is having none of it.
Schmidt is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schmidt is trying to control. Norton wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Schmidt scores with a big shot! Norton's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Norton! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
