Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Callum Pagnozzi (ranked 2140 p4p, 226 weight class) and Bismack Kagonbo (ranked 921 p4p, 121 weight class). Kagonbo has chosen Voodoo as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kagonbo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bismack Kagonbo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pagnozzi blocks a jab.
Kagonbo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Kagonbo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kagonbo catches Pagnozzi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Pagnozzi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pagnozzi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kagonbo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pagnozzi's sensitive parts.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kagonbo. Pagnozzi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kagonbo throws a sloppy head kick and Pagnozzi moves out of range easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pagnozzi has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

It seemed like Kagonbo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Pagnozzi looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Kagonbo lands a big right hand that sends Pagnozzi crashing to the mat! Kagonbo stays standing though and waves Pagnozzi back to his feet!

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kagonbo. Pagnozzi shrugs it off though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kagonbo is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Pagnozzi flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Pagnozzi is out cold! Kagonbo holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
