With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pete Vonshredder!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Martynov.
Vonshredder throws a combination. Martynov tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Vonshredder lands a nice shot to the body.
Martynov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Martynov misses the jab.
Martynov slips under a jab.
Martynov throwing a counter right hand but Vonshredder manages to avoid it.
No joy there for Martynov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vonshredder swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Martynov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Vonshredder in his tracks.
Martynov moves away from the strike by Vonshredder.
Martynov throws an off balance right hand
and Vonshredder cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Martynov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Zero Tolerance in the buildup to the fight.
Martynov throws a body shot but no joy.
Vonshredder has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vonshredder misses with a jab, cross combination.
Vonshredder tries to bum rush Martynov with a series of wild strikes but Martynov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Martynov is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Martynov's corner calls for a 1-2. Martynov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Vonshredder connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Martynov's hands.
Martynov cracks Vonshredder with a right hand to the side of the head.
Vonshredder takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Martynov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sergei Martynov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vonshredder avoids a punch combination nicely.
Martynov misses with a two punch combination.
Vonshredder uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Vonshredder fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Martynov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vonshredder on the side of the head.
Martynov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vonshredder uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Martynov.
Vonshredder drops his hands momentarily and Martynov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Vonshredder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Martynov throws a right hand that Vonshredder ducks under and follows up with a left that Vonshredder also avoids with ease.
Martynov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Vonshredder under the eye.
Vonshredder throws a shot from downtown. Martynov moves away and avoids it.

Martynov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vonshredder sprawling to the canvas! Vonshredder rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Martynov finish him?!

Vonshredder is rocked!
Martynov cracks a nice hook into Vonshredder's ribs.
Vonshredder is still on wobbly legs! Can Martynov finish him?
Vonshredder gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Martynov points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Vonshredder wakes up just in time to hear Martynov thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Sergei Martynov decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
