Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lamont King (ranked 2330 p4p, 260 weight class) and Herbert Mullin (ranked 1535 p4p, 180 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think King might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to King For A Day - Green Day . Herbert Mullin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lamont King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Herbert Mullin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws an overhand right that lands on Mullin's shoulder, as Mullin tries to avoid the shot.
A nice side step and Mullin releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Mullin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed King momentarily.
Mullin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from King.
King misses with a lunging right hand
and Mullin counters with a crisp one two that drops King! Mullin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves King to his feet! King is in big trouble!
King is rocked!
A big right from King misses.
Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've been informed that Mullin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
King misses with the combination.
King seems to have got his legs back now.
King fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mullin on the side of the head.
Good standup being displayed there by Mullin as he connects with a hook.
King throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mullin counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
King misses with an uppercut. Mullin saw that one coming.
Mullin looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Lamont King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King looks to land a right hand but Mullin moved out of range.
King throws a right and a left that Mullin avoids nicely.
It seemed like Mullin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
King throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mullin on the side of the head.
Mullin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round.
King bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mullin's head backwards.
King connects with a right hand. Mullin shakes it off.
King missing with a left hand there. Mullin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mullin throws a counter combo.
Mullin scores with a jab.
King misses with an uppercut
and Mullin counters with a nice right hand that sends King toppling to the canvas! King scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Mullin finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mullin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
King throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mullin counters with a nice uppercut.
Mullin closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops King! Mullin dives in looking to finish! King is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Herbert Mullin!
During a confident post fight interview, Herbert Mullin thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Lamont King had this to say: 'I can never undo what I did tonight'.
