The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braun moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cabrera jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Braun throws a nice outside leg kick.
A low kick from Braun misses

and Cabrera counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Braun wants to get back to his feet.
Cabrera is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cabrera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cabrera stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Braun to get to his feet.
Braun thows a leg kick but Cabrera checks it

and Cabrera counters with a takedown into side control.
Cabrera is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Braun's shoulder. That is not cool.
Cabrera misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Cabrera stands up.
Braun throws a body kick that misses

and Cabrera counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cabrera is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Cabrera stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Cabrera drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Braun utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Cabrera gets to his feet. Braun looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Braun throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Braun fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cabrera checks it well.
Sloppy strikes from Braun. Those never looked like landing.
A good leg kick by Braun.

Cabrera closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Cabrera performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Cabrera stands up out of the half guard.
Cabrera takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Braun thumps Cabrera with a low kick.
Braun misses with a kick to the body

and Cabrera counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cabrera.
Braun is wriggling around but Cabrera manages to pass to half guard.

Cabrera thows a huge punch but Braun dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cabrera is taking a breather. Braun says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cabrera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cabrera decides to return to a standing position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ted Cabrera dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Braun darts in and clinches Cabrera up against the cage.
Braun tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cabrera avoids it.
Cabrera jumps guard but Braun stands there with Cabrera around his waist. Cabrera gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Braun breaks the clinch.
Braun throws a wild body kick that Cabrera sees coming a mile off.
Braun connects with the punch.
Braun fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Braun tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cabrera swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Braun throws a low kick but it's checked well by Cabrera.
As Braun looks to move away, Cabrera throws a big counter combo but Braun just gets out of the way.
Cabrera tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Braun defends well and Cabrera ends up having to push Braun into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Braun! But no joy.
Braun lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Cabrera appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Cabrera drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Ted Cabrera has been cut.
Eva Braun is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Braun misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cabrera is looking to counter the offense by Braun and move into the clinch.
Braun lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A bone on bone clash there as Cabrera blocks the leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Braun darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Cabrera is rocked!
Braun lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Cabrera up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Braun from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Cabrera's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
