Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Cahill (ranked 4586 p4p, 481 weight class) and Vladimir Punchsky (ranked 2139 p4p, 271 weight class). Vladimir Punchsky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Cahill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladimir Punchsky! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Ben Watson and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punchsky misses with a looping right. Cahill uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Punchsky. A looping hook to the body misses from Punchsky. Cahill does a little dance to reset his feet. Cahill throws a body shot but no joy. A countering left hand to the body from Punchsky misses. Cahill ducks under a wild hook from Punchsky. Cahill tries to counter by clinching up but Punchsky breaks away and moves out of range. Punchsky lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Cahill thows a left - swing and a miss! Punchsky misses the shot to the body. Cahill's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Punchsky connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cahill scrambles back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cahill keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Punchsky. Cahill swings away with a body shot that misses
and Punchsky counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Punchsky misses with an uppercut. Punchsky drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Punchsky uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cahill. Punchsky now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Cahill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Punchsky is fending him off so far but Cahill persists. Nope, Punchsky circles away and we're back to standing. Punchsky punishes Cahill's body with a nice straight punch. Punchsky throws a shot from downtown. Cahill moves away and avoids it. Punchsky fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cahill on the side of the head. Cahill wants to clinch up but Punchsky keeps it at a distance. Punchsky is looking to score with low kicks. Cahill throws a lazy right hand but Punchsky sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Cahill defending well as Punchsky loads up on a big left hand. The fighters circle momentarily. Punchsky darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Cahill bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Cahill moves into range and clinches up with Punchsky.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Punchsky stops a takedown attempt from Cahill.
Punchsky scores with a shot to the side of Cahill's head. Cahill lands a shoulder strike. Cahill is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Cahill. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Punchsky can't break the clinch.
Cahill is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Punchsky is defending well. A body shot lands from Cahill.
Cahill lands a hook to the side of the head. Punchsky has had enough of the clinch but Cahill keeps him there for the moment. Cahill misses with a hook to the ribs.
Cahill prevents Punchsky from breaking the clinch. Punchsky tries to break free but Cahill pushes him back against the cage. Cahill jumps guard but Punchsky turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Nice body punch from Cahill - that landed with a thud.
Punchsky has had enough of the clinch but Cahill keeps him there for the moment. Punchsky blocking some punches.
Cahill looking for a takedown. Cahill jumps into guard, dragging Punchsky to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cahill looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Punchsky is stalling in the full guard. Punchsky's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Punchsky trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cahill's guard. Cahill looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cahill is looking for a triangle but Punchsky pushes his legs off easily.
Cahill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cahill is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Punchsky rolls with it to try and escape but Cahill cranks on the arm and Punchsky is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
