Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sven Svennson (ranked 1492 p4p, 182 weight class) and Gorgon Zola (ranked 1259 p4p, 164 weight class). Zola has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gorgon Zola!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svennson ducks right into an uppercut from Zola.

It looks like Sven Svennson has been cut.
Svennson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Zola jabs at Svennson's body.
Svennson misses with a straight left.
Svennson fails with a takedown attempt.
Zola tries a quick counter leg kick but Svennson is wise to it.
Zola has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A telegraphed right hand from Svennson misses the target.
Svennson takes one to the side of the head.
Zola connects with a nice looking jab.
Svennson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zola. Svennson does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zola lands a jab to Svennson's midsection.
Good standup being displayed there by Svennson as he connects with a hook.
Zola bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Svennson's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zola fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Svennson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Zola keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Zola slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Sven Svennson's cut is getting worse.
Svennson throws a head kick but Zola moves out of range.
Svennson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zola as he avoids it easily.
Zola lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Svennson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Zola throws a head kick but Svennson moves out of range.

Zola lands with a nice body punch.
Svennson is breathing heavily.
Zola scores with a nice body kick.
Zola clobbers Svennson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Zola lands a big head kick that sends Svennson tumbling to the mat! Zola takes a step backwards and waves Svennson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Svennson is rocked!

Sven Svennson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Svennson fails with a takedown attempt.
Zola throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Zola ducks under a wild hook from Svennson.
Zola tries a quick counter leg kick but Svennson is wise to it.
Zola punishes Svennson's body with a nice straight punch.

Jeez, Sven Svennson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Zola, as that shot connected.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sven Svennson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Gorgon Zola!
After the fight, Gorgon Zola was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
