Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Aokison (ranked 2199 p4p, 276 weight class) and Rich Wood (ranked 2059 p4p, 262 weight class). Aokison comes into the arena with Caroline blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aokison slips a jab from Wood.

and Aokison counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wood's knee momentarily.

Rich Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Aokison checks a leg kick.
A little feinted left hand from Aokison on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
