Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Smith (ranked 3887 p4p, 394 weight class) and Conor Mcgregor (ranked 4236 p4p, 423 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with Papa Roach - Last Resort blaring out of the sound system. Mcgregor has chosen Hypnotize as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tony Smith has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conor Mcgregor! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith misses with a two punch combination.
Mcgregor is looking to land body kicks. A combination from Smith does no damage. Mcgregor throws a combination that misses and Smith makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Left hook, right uppercut from Mcgregor. Mcgregor tries to land a body kick and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. An inside leg kick lands from Mcgregor. Mcgregor throws a head kick that Smith semi-blocks.
Smith takes one to the side of the head.
Conor Mcgregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head kick misses from Mcgregor. Some wild striking there from Smith.
Mcgregor gets off balance looking for a body kick and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mcgregor connects with a jab. Smith chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mcgregor can pounce on him.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mcgregor scores with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good leg kick by Smith there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Smith blocks a head kick by Mcgregor.
An attempted straight right counter from Smith misses the target. Mcgregor pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Smith went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Mcgregor misses with an uppercut
and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mcgregor misses with a kick to the body and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mcgregor manages to avoid it. Smith takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Smith went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mcgregor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mcgregor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Smith looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. A decent looking body kick lands there for Mcgregor. This has been an exciting period of action! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Smith checks a leg kick. Mcgregor misses with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Mcgregor moves out of range easily. Mcgregor connects with a leg kick. Smith looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Mcgregor fakes the leg kick and cracks Smith in the body. Mcgregor lands with a kick to the temple. Smith shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Mcgregor throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Mcgregor takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Mcgregor keeps Smith at a distance using the push kick. Mcgregor moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mcgregor lands a front kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mcgregor.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgregor lands a jab to the head.
Smith takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Mcgregor throws a quick inside leg kick. Smith takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Mcgregor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mcgregor cracks the inside of Smith's front leg. Mcgregor throws a lazy body kick and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mcgregor throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Mcgregor scores with a nice strike. Mcgregor blocks a jab. Mcgregor ducks under a wild hook from Smith. Smith on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mcgregor. Mcgregor obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mcgregor throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smith's head. A jab from Mcgregor finds it's way through Smith's defenses. Mcgregor rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Smith is looking for a counter combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Smith connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Mcgregor throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Smith counters with a nice uppercut. Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mcgregor.
Mcgregor throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mcgregor lands a nice looking body kick. Mcgregor thows a body kick. Smith tries to catch it but that hurt him. A head kick by Mcgregor misses and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mcgregor swings widly with a right hand
enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab. Smith is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Mcgregor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've been informed that Mcgregor has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Mcgregor scores with a hook to the body. Smith takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Mcgregor tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Conor Mcgregor dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Smith tries to clinch there but Mcgregor circles away.

Mcgregor cracks the inside of Smith's front leg. Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mcgregor, right into the meat.
Smith is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Smith takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mcgregor misses with a head kick.
Smith will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Mcgregor with a jab. Smith goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Mcgregor is rocked! Smith connects with a stiff jab that staggers Mcgregor - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
