Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dirty Deeds (ranked 6276 p4p, 548 weight class) and Flip Fortuin (ranked 6093 p4p, 541 weight class). Deeds comes into the arena with AC/DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap blaring out of the sound system. Fortuin has chosen You shook me all night long as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Dirty Deeds! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Flip Fortuin! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fortuin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Deeds wants to clinch up but Fortuin keeps it at a distance. Nice jab there from Fortuin. Deeds lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Deeds swings for the body but Fortuin moves out of range.

It looks like Dirty Deeds has been cut. Deeds tries to keep at a distance but Fortuin has taken the fight into the clinch. Fortuin struggles to land a body shot inside as Deeds controls his hands.
Deeds is looking to break free of the clinch but Fortuin has double underhooks. Deeds being controlled against the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good body shot from Fortuin.
Deeds misses with a short punch on the inside. Fortuin just leaning against Deeds, taking a breather. Fortuin tries to throw a body punch but Deeds avoids it by throwing Fortuin back against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deeds is trying to force a seperation but Fortuin has the dominant position. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Fortuin. Fortuin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Deeds bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Deeds uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Deeds misses with a body shot.
Deeds dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Fortuin scores with a hook. Fortuin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Fortuin moves out of range of the strikes. Fortuin scores with a nice right hand.

As Fortuin backs away, Deeds returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Deeds digs a good hook to Fortuin's body.
Deeds wants to clinch up but Fortuin keeps it at a distance. This has been an exciting period of action! Fortuin closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Fortuin. Fortuin scores with a hook to the body. Deeds looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. The referee is keeping an eye on Fortuin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Fortuin trying to control the position but instead, Deeds has worked for underhooks and has pushed Fortuin into the ropes. Deeds tries to break free but Fortuin pushes him back against the ropes. Fortuin manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Fortuin's coach down at Temp Spar Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fortuin's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Deeds letting Fortuin take a breather here. Fortuin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Deeds throws a front kick aimed at Fortuin's knee but Fortuin avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deeds slips a jab from Fortuin. Fortuin throws a jab when Deeds was well out of range. Deeds scores with a hook to the body. Fortuin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Fortuin swings widly with a right hand
and Deeds counters with a body kick. Fortuin throws a hook to the side of Deeds's head but Deeds sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. An attempted straight right counter from Deeds misses the target. Deeds walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Fortuin throws a good cross that connects.

The fighters circling - Fortuin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Fortuin gets in close and instigates a clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Fortuin is looking to control Deeds's arms but Deeds gets an underhook and turns him. Now Fortuin has his back to the ropes. Fortuin has Deeds pressed against the ropes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deeds managing to block the knees to the body from Fortuin.
Deeds throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Fortuin blocks it with crossed arms. Fortuin blocking some punches.
Fortuin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fortuin pushes Deeds up against the ropes in a clinch. Deeds misses with a knee strike.

Flip Fortuin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dirty Deeds's cut. That's time! Deeds's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Fortuin dips to his left and cracks Deeds with an uppercut! Deeds tries to clinch but Fortuin moves out of range. Deeds is looking to wear down Fortuin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Fortuin connects with a looping right hand.
Fortuin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Deeds throws a chopping leg kick but Fortuin manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Good shot there by Deeds. Fortuin scores with a head kick. Deeds tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Fortuin scores with a punch to the head. Fortuin takes the fight into the clinch. Fortuin tries a body shot but Deeds blocks it.
Fortuin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Deeds counters with a left to the body. Fortuin lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Deeds goes down! The ref sends Fortuin to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Deeds is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!
Deeds is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fortuin takes the fight into the clinch. Oh Deeds is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Fortuin lands with a right to the head. Fortuin dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Flip Fortuin. Sloppy strikes from Fortuin. Those never looked like landing. Deeds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Deeds throws a half hearted mid kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Flip Fortuin takes that one, thanks to the knockdown. The cut man is working on Dirty Deeds's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fortuin moves away from the strike by Deeds. Fortuin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Deeds closes the distance but Fortuin moves to the side and Fortuin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Fortuin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Deeds, pushing him back against the ropes.

Fortuin throws a shot from downtown. Deeds moves away and avoids it. It looked like Deeds was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fortuin. Deeds throws a push kick but Fortuin slaps the foot to one side. A combination from Deeds does no damage. Deeds bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Fortuin explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Deeds ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fortuin moves away. Fortuin misses with a double jab.

And that's the end of the fight! Flip Fortuin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Fortuin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
