Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Aurelius! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lane Craig! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aurelius takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jab from Craig. Craig lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Aurelius walks into a straight right hand from Craig. Craig falls off balance throwing a combination
and Aurelius counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Aurelius is looking for a kimura but Craig is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Aurelius to get the leverage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aurelius is thwarting Craig's attempts to control the position. Aurelius uses his free foot to push down on Craig's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Craig. Aurelius wants to take Craig's back but he can't do it this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aurelius can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Craig is looking to escape. Aurelius has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Aurelius is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Craig can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Craig really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aurelius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Aurelius avoids the attempt from Craig to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aurelius can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Craig is looking to escape.

Aurelius throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Craig has his hands clasped together but Aurelius breaks the hold and Craig is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Aurelius!
