The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McTavish. McTavish shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bubba as he avoids it easily. McTavish tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. McTavish is breathing heavily. McTavish throws a big shot that misses. Bubba instigates a clinch. McTavish can't break the clinch.
Bubba escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bubba takes the fight into the clinch. McTavish drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bubba pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Bubba. No joy for McTavish on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jock McTavish. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bubba gets a clinch. Bubba pulls guard successfully.

Bubba has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Bubba is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but McTavish has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Bubba is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. McTavish defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. But no, McTavish has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

McTavish wants to control from the top but Bubba keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bubba is looking for a triangle but McTavish pushes his legs off easily.
McTavish gets to his feet - Bubba follows without any prompting. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hub Bubba dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bubba has managed to clinch.
Bubba decides to pull guard. McTavish trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McTavish passes Bubba's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bubba is trying to get back to full guard. Bubba works his way to full guard. Good work. Bubba had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McTavish is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bubba Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McTavish's back instead. McTavish trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bubba is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Bubba has got one arm under McTavish's chin. This could be trouble... McTavish trying to control the other hand but Bubba gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, McTavish has tapped out! The fight is over!
