Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mario Beasley (ranked 5087 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Brown (ranked 6081 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stuck in the middle with you kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Andy Brown has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mario Beasley's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Brown!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A shot to the liver by Brown. Beautiful body shot.

Beasley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Brown manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Beasley keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Brown is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Beasley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brown to keep the fight standing.
Beasley drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brown gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Beasley shoots in looking for a takedown but Brown manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Beasley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Beasley tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance.

Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beasley manages to avoid it.
Beasley goes for a double leg but Brown avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brown continues to drive forward.

Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beasley's waist but Beasley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side.
Brown fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Beasley moves out of range of the body kick from Brown.
Brown throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It looked like Beasley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Brown tries for a takedown but Beasley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brown looks winded!
Brown goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Brown gets tackled into the cage by Beasley. Beasley maintains the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Beasley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brown smiles and moves away.
Beasley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brown lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Beasley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brown.
Beasley feinted with a counter takedown.
A head kick by Brown misses

and Beasley counters with a takedown into side control.

Brown explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Beasley misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Brown lands a slapping body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beasley is looking to clinch.
Brown fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Andy Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt.

Beasley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brown defends well and Beasley ends up having to push Brown into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Brown keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A chopping leg kick lands by Brown.

Brown has managed to clinch.
Beasley tries for a takedown but Brown manages to get underhooks.
Brown jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beasley walks away with a smile on his face. Brown gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Beasley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brown sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Beasley shows good takedown defense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Brown dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Beasley, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Beasley against the cage but Beasley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brown enables Beasley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brown manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Beasley gets to his feet - Brown follows without any prompting.
Beasley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brown as he avoids it easily.

Beasley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brown did well to prevent Beasley getting side control.

Brown manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Beasley keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brown lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brown working for submissions but it's allowed Beasley to get to half guard.

Beasley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Beasley eventually gives up the hold.

Beasley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown tries to get to full guard but Beasley has control of the leg.
Beasley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Brown tries to roll over but Beasley keeps him under control.
Brown has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Brown looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Beasley has gone for a leg lock! Brown slips out almost immediately though and dives into Beasley's guard.


Brown gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Beasley tries to clinch but Brown moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Beasley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brown napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Brown throws Beasley to one side and escapes!
Brown lands a right hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


A nice inside leg kick there by Brown. That's going to slow Beasley down.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Beasley is trying to drag Brown to the mat but Brown just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Beasley is working for takedown but Brown is calmly controlling the position for now.
Beasley tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brown just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Beasley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brown is pressed up against the cage. Beasley has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brown down to the mat. Brown avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beasley tries to pull guard but Brown forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Beasley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brown tries to avoid it but Beasley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brown to the ground. Brown escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brown feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Beasley's calf.
Beasley blocks a head kick by Brown.
Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beasley.

Brown rushes Beasley and presses him up against the cage.
Brown is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Beasley manages to break the clinch.

Beasley takes a head kick and keeps coming.


Beasley is rocked!
Brown lands with a kick to the ribs.
Oh Beasley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brown circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Beasley drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Brown follows Beasley to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andy Brown!
Andy Brown tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
