Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blitz Krieg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Noam Dar! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot by Krieg. Krieg with a hook. Krieg has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight. Dar misses with a takedown attempt - Krieg sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dar dives in for a single leg takedown but Krieg sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Krieg jabs Dar right on the nose. Dar blinks but takes it well. Nice shot by Krieg. Krieg throws a combination. Dar tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Krieg throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Krieg's guard. Krieg is wriggling around but Dar manages to pass to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Dar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. More stalling from Dar. Dar in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Krieg tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Dar!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Noam Dar! Blitz Krieg was interviewed post fight and said 'I might have lost a fight but I haven't lost the war! I will seek vengeance!'.
