Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard McConomy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vincent Chase !
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for McConomy with that takedown attempt.
Chase shoots in but no luck this time.
Chase throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
McConomy really is a fat lump.
Chase lands a jab-cross combination.
McConomy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Chase counters by clinching up.

Chase gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Chase is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
McConomy keeping control of the position.
McConomy scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Chase manages to mount him!
McConomy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Chase stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Chase connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McConomy's hands.
Richard McConomy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chase changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McConomy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Chase decides to stand back up. Chase steps back and let's McConomy get back to his feet.

McConomy looks like he's trying to stand up.
McConomy is looking to control Chase 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McConomy avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chase stands up out of the half guard.

McConomy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chase circles away.

McConomy tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Chase counters with a big head kick but McConomy shrugs it off.

McConomy drives through and clinches with Chase against the cage.
McConomy stalling in the clinch but Chase improves position.
Chase is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Chase turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
McConomy wants to get back to his feet but Chase is dominant here and he's now got McConomy's back!
McConomy turns into Chase and is now in his guard.
McConomy trying to control but Chase is working from the bottom.
McConomy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chase swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McConomy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chase is looking to work his way out of this bad position but McConomy is controlling him well.
Chase is breathing heavily.

McConomy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chase , who protects the arm well.

McConomy has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McConomy darts in trying to clinch

and Chase counters by moving into the clinch.
McConomy trying to stall but Chase improves his position.

McConomy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McConomy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
McConomy looking to control but Chase passes into half guard.
Vincent Chase has got the better of the ground game so far.

McConomy is trying to get back to full guard.
Chase prevents McConomy from standing back up.
McConomy tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Chase manages to move to mount!
McConomy prevents any damage by holding on tight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chase prevents McConomy from getting the reversal.

Chase stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McConomy throws a sloppy head kick
and Chase counters with a head kick. That will keep McConomy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Richard McConomy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chase .
McConomy shoots in but Chase avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vincent Chase showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McConomy scores with a sloppy right hand. Chase should have avoided that one.
McConomy takes a kick to the side of the head.
Chase scores with a kick to the midsection.
McConomy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Chase counters with a head kick. That will keep McConomy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McConomy is looking to control Chase 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McConomy avoid being mounted?
McConomy is trying to stand up here but Chase is controlling him well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McConomy tries for a takedown but Chase circles away easily
and Chase counters with a good, hard body kick but McConomy shrugs it off.

and Chase counters with a nice leg kick.
McConomy takes a kick to the side of the head.
McConomy looks to land a combination but Chase avoids it well.
McConomy tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Chase makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Chase lands a nice looking kick to the body. McConomy takes a step back to recover.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Chase shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chase was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
McConomy is looking to improve his position but Chase isn't that keen on the idea.
McConomy is trying to stand.
McConomy can't escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vincent Chase comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chase has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
