Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Hannedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, AJ Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Walter Hannedy! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Walter Hannedy has been cut. Penn stuffs the takedown attempt from Hannedy. Hannedy gets slowly back to his feet. Hannedy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hannedy tries for a takedown but Penn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. AJ Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Hannedy. Hannedy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Penn as he jumps to the side. Penn misses with an attempted mid kick.
Penn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Penn fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hannedy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Penn gets back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Penn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hannedy is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hannedy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Penn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Penn tries to land a sweep but no joy. Penn looking for a guillotine here but Hannedy defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penn wants to sweep here but Hannedy controlling him for the moment. Penn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Penn looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hannedy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Penn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Penn's back! Penn is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Penn is breathing heavily. Hannedy lands punches and elbows. Penn is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
I really don't envy Penn right now.
Penn rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Penn slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Penn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Penn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Penn pushes a forearm under Hannedy's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hannedy is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
