Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Dillan!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dillan moves into range and clinches up with Anderson.
Dillan wants to break free but Anderson has control.
Anderson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dillans head.
Dillan is looking to break free of the clinch but Anderson has double underhooks.
Anderson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Anderson tries to land knees in the clinch but Dillan avoids the damage to the body.
Anderson gets through Dillan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
It looks like Mike Dillan has been cut.
Anderson has Dillan pressed against the ropes, preventing Dillan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Anderson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Anderson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dillan misses with a few strikes there.
Nice cross by Anderson.
Dillan moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dillan is trying to push Anderson away but Anderson has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Still in the clinch, Anderson scores with a nice short uppercut.
Dillan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Anderson has him pressed against the ropes.
Dillan tries to break the clinch but Anderson is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dillan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Anderson counters with a straight right hand.
Dillan is rocked!
Dillan tries to get into range but Anderson steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Dillan! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Anderson scores the big KO victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Anderson!
